A - Stage details are presently TBC while we secure an appropriate venue.
Q - WHY SHOULD I ENTER SURVIVOR?
A - Survivor Amateur Pole Championships is designed to give all students, instructors and studio owners a go at getting on the big stage in a friendly, supportive but competitive environment. We have carefully designed the level structure to reflect an in house competition but on a much larger scale! Survivor is a fantastic gateway competition, it allows you to get a feel of competing or performing with out having to get on stage and compete against the big names in the industry. Survivor Amateur consists of Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced categories.
Q - CAN MY ROUTINE RUN OVER TIME ON THE NIGHT?
A - As much as we would love to watch a 5 minute routine from everyone it is not possible in one night. Please make sure your music is cut to time - we know that sometimes your trick may run over so if you have one more movement left in your routine and the music has finished please finish your routine.
Q - HOW DOES SURVIVOR ENSURE PEOPLE APPLY FOR THE CORRECT LEVEL?
A - We work off a trust system since there is no database in place yet for us to check, we trust that each poler would only apply to their correct level, in some cases people unintentionally enter the incorrect level - we advise these people and judge it against the next category.
Q - IS SURVIVOR A GRADED COMP?
A - No Survivor is not a graded Comp, however we have fallen in line with the new competition standards designed by the ACO.
Q - What sort of show/style should I do for Survivor?
A - That is totally up to you! If you want to do contemporary, comedy, exotic or 5 fonjis with a spatchcock thrown in there, we accept all themes and ideas - now go get creative!
